Facebook to Acquire WhatsApp in $19 Billion

On February 19, 2014 Afternoon Facebook announced to buy whatsapp for $19 Billion cash, stock. Facebook reached definitive agreement to acquire whatsapp and includes $4 billion in cash, $12 billion in Facebook shares and $3 billion in restricted stock units will be granted to Whatsapp’s founders and employees over next 4 years. It is the biggest internet deal in total $19 Billion. As you know Whatsapp application software is the popular mobile messaging service and people everyday 24/7 remains online. Usage of text SMS message minimized as and when Whatsapp came.

People loves to stay online on the move and rapid use of whatsapp badly affects the facebook usage. whatsapp having Over 450 million monthly users and 70% of them active on given day and adding over 1 million new registered users per day.
Acquisition will improves the high serviceability and leads to more user engagement. Whats app will be continued to operate within Facebook like Instagram. WhatsApp is on a path to connect 1 billion people and its valuable.

Jan Koum will join Facebook’s Board of Directors and Facebook’s existing Messenger app will remain as it is and WhatsApp’s brand will be maintained.

Google Loon Project Working

If you are thinking that internet is available at everywhere then you are wrong.  Two-thirds of the world’s population living without Internet and for those peoples google started the big project that is the Google Loon. This is especially for the peoples who are residing on rural areas.Loon is the network of balloons which provides the Internet and which moves on the edge of space. It will travel around 20 Km above from the earth surface in the stratosphere where wind speed is about 5 to 20 mph.

Google Loon Project Working in Depth –

Management of balloon will be done from the earth. It will provide the internet in 40 Km scanner area of balloon. All the circuit and antenna devices placed in the bottom of the balloons and it will contact to the another balloon and to the antenna placed on the earth. One more interesting thing is it will get the energy from the sun by attached solar panel on the balloon and by only getting the four hour sun light it will produce energy which will be available for whole day.
Loon Project begin in June 2013 in New Zealand. In the South Island Thirty balloons, launched to test it. It was tested by small group of pilot testers and from the experiences of the group of pilots the next technology shape will be given to the next phase of the Loon.
